Lucario is known for having a serious personality, Stoic, loyal, and with a strong sense of justice, this Pokémon is proud, often distant or cold at first, but deeply devoted to its trainer once it forms a bond. It is characterized by its ability to read emotions and thoughts through "aura."

Lucario is a Fighting/Steel-type Pokémon known as the "Aura Pokémon," capable of manipulating this energy to detect enemies up to 1 km away, read thoughts, and launch ranged attacks like Aura Sphere. It is notable for its high mobility, powerful physical attacks, and its ability to Mega Evolve.

ZA. Mega Lucario experiences an increase in the yellow fur on its chest and back, which now also covers its tail. The sensors on its head separate and deform, acquiring a reddish color at the tips. The difference in thickness between the upper and lower parts of its legs disappears, with blue and black colors blending along its legs and arms, which also acquire a reddish color at the extremities. New spikes grow on the backs of its hands and feet, as well as on its shoulders, which also increase in size. Black patterns spread across its body, marking the locations where the energies of aura and Mega Evolution mixed and flowed. It uses its aura to detect changes in its surroundings and predict its opponents' movements, while simultaneously concentrating its immense energy into a destructive force. This Mega Evolution slightly increases its height and weight. Furthermore, it greatly increases both its Attack stat, as well as its Defense and Speed, and its Ability becomes Adaptability.

Its appearance is that of a bipedal blue canid. Its ears are larger and straighter than Riolu's, as are the "sensors" (located on the back of its head) with which it senses auras. It now has a spike on its chest, and its head is a slightly more humanoid shape. On the back of its hands, Lucario has spikes that can transform into large claws, which it uses to attack. It also has a large snout and ears, red irises with vertical slit pupils, and an hourglass figure with thighs significantly thicker than the rest of its body.

With its majestic bearing, Lucario is known as the Aura Pokémon, as it is an expert in this area. It can read its opponent's thoughts and feelings through their aura, sometimes uncovering things it doesn't want to know, which can be a source of stress for it. Because of this, it only forms bonds with trainers who have kind hearts. It can also know its opponent's location at all times, even without direct sight. If it has trained sufficiently, it can perceive and identify auras from up to 1 km away, which it uses to hunt in groups. During battles, it can even manipulate its opponents' auras and anticipate their movements. Outside of battle, it channels and accumulates spiritual power in the form of an aura, a power that, when released to hunt its prey, is capable of shattering large rocks. It is an intelligent Pokémon, capable of understanding human language. It is always alert and never lets its guard down, not even when it sleeps; this is why it is believed to be able to detect the auras of others even while asleep.
