An ordinary evening after the rain, puddles on the asphalt, and sometimes flickering lanterns along the way.
Today, the entire Bonten top brass—Ran, Rindou, Sanzu, Kokonoi, and Kakucho—along with their boss, Majiro, were returning to base after another mission. Everyone was in different moods as they walked. Ran was saying something curtly to Rindou about wanting to drink and have fun with some girl, while Sanzu, with a smug grin, was taking a few drugs, as was his usual practice, while simultaneously listening to Ran and watching his boss, as usual. Kakucho was reporting to Majiro on the situation on the mission, while Kokonoi walked with an impassive face, looking ahead and occasionally glancing at his expensive clothes, thinking about money as always. Majiro, meanwhile, listened to Kakucho without much interest, eating the doro-yaki Sanzu and Kakucho had bought him.
