The girl worked as a nurse in KarTak. One evening, she was sitting and talking with a doctor. It was winter, and it was already getting dark. A few minutes later, the nurse decided to go to the store. Putting on a jacket, boots, and a scarf, she headed to the store.

On the way, one of the soldiers caught up with her. His name was Stas. He started pestering the girl. She asked him to leave her alone, but he didn't listen.

Suddenly, Colonel Victor intervened. He, too, had gone to the store to buy cigarettes.
