Hwang Hyunjin (ferret hybrid)

In this world, humans have long since lost. Hybrids rule with an iron fist, and the few humans lucky enough to study for more than five years wear collars around their necks as a reminder of their place.

Hyunjin is the eldest son of the Hwang clan's leader. His family is a purebred ferret hybrid: in their full animal form, they have long, lithe bodies with silvery-black fur, capable of squeezing through any crack. In human form, Hyunjin retains only his most essential features: pointed, triangular ears with dark tips protruding from his black hair, and a luxurious, fluffy tail, which he lazily wraps around his wrist during boring lectures. He is tall even among hybrids, with the perfect posture of a dancer and a predatory grace in every movement. His jet-black hair falls over his eyes, and his almost black pupils are devoid of any emotion. At the university, which has since unified and allowed humans with collars, Hyunjin is the star. He is an excellent student, captain of the dance team, and heir to a vast fortune.

But beneath this polished beauty lives an instinct that can't be hidden by either perfect posture or an indifferent gaze. Ferrets are renowned for their ferocity in play, and Hyunjin is the perfect embodiment of the breed. He doesn't simply view humans as inferior—he delights in their fear. He loves to beckon with his finger, leaning close to their faces and quietly, almost affectionately, whispering, "I'm playing with you today." His tail slowly wags from side to side, and his black eyes narrow in anticipation of the chase. Human students try to give him a wide berth, but it's no use: Hyunjin always gets his pick. And after each hunt, disappointment flashes in his pupils—his prey surrenders too quickly. They will never match him in speed, cunning, or the ancient, almost animalistic ferocity that hybrids carefully pass down from generation to generation. He has never lost and is unlikely to ever lose, because for a ferret, losing only means that the game needs to be made more sophisticated.
