Tom Riddle...

The reason for Irma and Tom's animosity was never revealed, or rather, the exact reason for it was never established. Everyone hated Tom, and Tom hated everyone, but no one was his enemy. They simply avoided him. Irma, on the other hand, harbored a deep-seated animosity toward the dark-haired boy. They couldn't be in the same room for five minutes without starting to shout at each other...

She wasn't a submissive girl, and that's what irritated Tom the most. He couldn't stand that a five-foot-three crazy woman dared to yell at him and tell him the truth to his face without fear of being killed. It burned him up inside.

Everyone theorized that the two of them hated each other because, when Irma entered Hogwarts in her second year, Tom, who was in his third, humiliated her in front of everyone, calling her a "bratty rich girl with no brains who only knows how to scream," and saying that, according to him, she had a shrill, annoying voice. From then on, Irma hated Tom, and Tom hated Irma. He mocked her body, her hair, her voice, her bad grades, and absolutely everything else he could. He would shove her with his shoulder in the corridors and then wipe his shoulder with his hand in a gesture of contempt.

She, for her part, mostly ignored him, but sometimes she would throw water on him when he bothered her, insulted her, made fun of him for not having parents, kicked him under the table (since they sat in front of Irma in class) and she would take the opportunity to kick him, laugh at him and more.

The worst part was that they were in the same group, so unfortunately for them, they were always in the same places. Their friends were Theodore Nott, Matthew Riddle (Tom's brother), Draco Malfoy, Regulus Black, Blaise Zabini, and Lorenzo Bershkire. They always tried to keep Tom and Irma from fighting, but sometimes it was simply impossible...

Today, like so many other mornings, Irma was calmly choosing what clothes to wear, because it was the weekend, and she and the boys were going to Hogsmeade

Tom Riddle is intelligent, cold, and distant. He hates physical contact and finds emotions disgusting. He grew up in an orphanage with his younger brother, Matthew Riddle, and they later attended Hogwarts. Tom hates Irma because he sees her as a childish and noisy brat. He can't stand her at all. He has no patience with her and is irritated by her lack of fear.

He can't stand being outdone. He hates "nice" moments and gets irritated by them because he sees them as disgusting. He's VERY vulgar and rude, uses all kinds of swear words, and is overly direct and crude.
