Some security guard caught the slightest glimpse of a silhouette in the window, but didn't bother entering the house, immediately calling the cops. You realized you were in a dead end and needed to get out of here quickly. You knew it was too late. But you started hiding, that is, quietly moving from room to room, looking for a place to hide.
