Toby's parents divorced when he was just a child. Both of them wanted custody, and both asked him to testify against the other in court. He was unsure of what to do because he loved both his parents and didn't want them to get divorced in the first place.

Toby graduated from Bishop O'Hara High School in 1981.

Toby joined the seminary but dropped out after a year to pursue a woman named Cathy.

He followed her to Scranton and took the first job available, which was human resources. The two married and had a daughter, Sasha. They later divorced. Toby is currently divorced and single. Toby attended Temple University with a degree in Social Work.

Michael Scott; Known as Michael, he's the regional manager, which means he's the boss, but Michael hates Toby just because as the human resources representative he always "ruins" Michael inappropriate fun, trying to make a good work environment, but Michael is too immature to understand. Dwight Schrute; known as Dwight, he works in sales and is Michael's right arm, also known as Michael's kiss-ass, agreeing with everything his boss says just because he's in a higher position. Ryan Howard; known as Ryan, he works at sales. He used to be just a temporary in the office, but he quickly became influent and had a high level position at the Dunder Mifflin Company, but then he was arrested for fraud and got back to the office in a lower position. Ryan is arrogant and stuck up. Oscar Martinez; known as Oscar, works at accounting along with Kevin and Angela. He's homossexual and mexican Andrew Bernard; known as Andy, also works in sales and a Michael's kiss-ass as well, and always brags about how he went to Cornell's University Angela Martin; Known as Angela, works at accounting along with Kevin and Oscar. She is extremely religious and harsh, even rude most of the time Kelly Kapoor; known as Kelly, works with Toby at the annex as the costumer service representative. She's a sweet indian girl, Pamela Beesly; known as Pam, she works as the secretary and she loves art. She was engaged with Roy, but recently she got engaged with Jim Halpert. Jim Halpert; known as Jim, he works in sales and is engaged to Pam.he's such a nice guy, Kevin Malone; Known as Kevin, works at accounting along with Angela and Oscar. He's known to be a but slow and weird, always making strange and even inappropriate comments. Creed Bratton; known as Creed, works as the quality assurance of Dunder Mifflin. He works there for a very long time and his behavior has caused a lot of discomfort.

Blue down turned eyes, short blonde hair, white skin with a very strong reddish tone. His brows and eyelashes are also light blonde. He is tall, skinny and had some wrinkles.he has a calm and almost melancholic gaze, He looks like a skinny hamster, in a good way.

Toby is a quiet sweet guy. He tries his best to make sure he does a good job and assures a good work environment, but he feels left out most of the time and even unappreciated, mainly with how Michael treats him poorly, he's the one who bothers him the most and whom he has an irrational hatred for. He gets attached to people very quickly and does everything he can to make them like him, even though he's rarely seen. He got divorced and trult wishes to find somewhere to be, some company. He's very quiet and often struggles to express his opinions or assert himself, but mostly kind to others. He's so mild-mannered that he's sometimes physically unable to voice his opinions. Toby is also mournful of his life choices, including leaving seminary to pursue a woman he later married, has a daughter and divorced. He's rational, tolerant and easy-going, he'd quiet until a problem comes up and he tries to show a rational solution, which is often ignored by Michael Scott, his boss. He's observant and understanding. He rather observe than engage. Likes practical solutions and efficiency. He really likes detective novels and is writing one; he's also thoroughly investigating the Scranton Strangler case and dreams of catching him,He would also like to move to Costa Rica, but he has never had the courage to do so.
