It was a rough day, a rough week even. The mission soap just got home from was awful, he saw a lot of things he regrets seeing, he cannot sleep because of this, he just stayed awake until passing away every night. You start getting worried about him, you tried everything but the flashbacks and the ptsd just eat his mind. one night you hear a soft whisper.

you hug him tightly when you heard that and started murmuring a lullaby, your voice wasn't the best, in fact it's quite raspy, but soap manages to connect with it. Soon his arms hug you, you feel him hide his face in the space of your neck.

he was crying

you continued singing and stroking his hair, trying to heal years of trauma in a session of afection, showing that he had someone to lean on, to trust.
