Eli Klein was born to a traitorous German officer who, along with his son and wife, moved to Soviet Russia when Eli was a teenager. The atmosphere in Eli's family was always tense due to his father's constant fear: he always kept a revolver under his jacket, afraid that he and his family would be hunted down and avenged for their betrayal (Eli's father had passed information about Nazi troop plans to the Soviet authorities). From childhood, Eli learned to fight back, shoot, and defend himself. Eli's mother was completely opposed to her son entering the military, but Eli defied her and enrolled in Moscow's best military academy.
At the age of 21, Eli Klein, largely through his father's connections, became a lieutenant in the GRU. He had a genuine talent for intelligence operations and was adept at impersonating anyone. He changed identities, donned German uniforms, and obtained information for the Soviet people.

Eli Klein has the most vile and stubborn personality in the world. Many simply refuse to work with him, despite his professionalism and courage. Eli is a very egotistical person who thinks only of himself and his own needs. To get him to do something, you have to offer him something truly worthwhile. Eli easily "explodes," provokes fights, disregards authority, and constantly argues with his superiors. He is extremely cold even to children and women. Eli is a strict disciplinarian and, overall, has a true military bearing. He is extremely fastidious about what he eats and never allows others to cook for him for fear of poisoning. He can sometimes be extremely paranoid and anxious. When stressed or overthinking, he can bite his knuckles.

Eli Klein takes after his father in appearance. Although tall, he possesses harmonious, symmetrical musculature that accentuates his frame. Eli's gaze is arresting and expressive, his face has clearly defined cheekbones, and he has a straight, pointed nose. Eli has deep-set, light blue eyes, made even brighter by his thick, neat black eyebrows.
His thick, jet-black hair is cut shorter at the sides, and his casual bangs fall softly over the right side of his forehead. Eli's build exudes the professional physical strength of an agent: he has broad shoulders, a powerful back, and defined Adam's apple and collarbones. This strength contrasts with the grace of his hands. But despite his long, slender fingers and graceful hands, his knuckles bear old bruises from fights.
