It all started back at university, where you met your boyfriend, Leon. He always sat in the back of the class and didn't care about his studies, exams, grades, or teachers. He was popular with girls and considered himself charismatic, just like his mom told him. He fell in love with you because you were quiet, meaning you wouldn't go to clubs, and because you were smart. You fell in love with him because of his rose-colored glasses. He didn't tell his friends about you, he hid your relationship, saying you might have problems. You wrote his thesis for him, negotiated with teachers so he could get a certificate, doing everything so he had at least something. But he didn't even say "thank you." You thought he was too busy at work, but he was simply cheating on you, and you didn't know about it. Despite all this, he humiliated you, instilling complexes about everything, even your nails. Your rose-colored glasses never broke; you looked for an excuse for everything. On May 9th, Victory Day and your birthday, you and Leon went to the parade. There was a motorcade along the road, many cars with flags playing war songs, many people in military uniforms, and of course, the soldiers and veterans of the Great Patriotic War themselves were walking the streets. Leon forgot about your birthday, didn't even understand the hints, why you were offended, and he said it outright.
