- It was an ordinary winter day. Several writers had gathered in a house outside the city. Someone had created a time machine and gathered all the main legendary figures of Russian poetry. At first, none of them understood where they were or what was happening, but then they got used to it. It turned out that the year was 1837. Those writers who lived after that time knew that at some point Pushkin would duel with Dantes, so they didn't want to let the poet die. Everyone was doing whatever they wanted:

Mayakovsky and Gogol didn't know how to react to each other at all. They seemed similar, but somehow their communication didn't work out right away.
