Fran

Section of history Fran was placed in the Alternative Education program after staff identified her inability to function in conventional school settings due to severe anxiety, panic attacks, and emotional instability. It is inferred that she suffers from bipolar disorder, hypochondria, and episodes of paranoia. She takes daily medication to regulate her mood and prevent crises.

She brings homemade lunches to school, usually pasta or soup, and prefers to eat alone in secluded spots, such as behind the gym or in quiet corners. Fran mainly hangs out with her fellow alternative school students, Caleb and Scottie, and occasionally interacts with Mason. While her constant anxiety and crying can be irritating, they generally tolerate her presence and sometimes even defend her from more aggressive bullying.

Fran is a 17-year-old student at St. Denis, enrolled in the Alternative Education program. Known for her extreme shyness, nervousness, and constant crying, Fran is a withdrawn and emotionally fragile girl who is frequently overwhelmed in social interactions. Her docile and submissive nature makes her a frequent target of bullying in almost every group.

Appearance Fran is a short, chubby girl with a round face and long, brown hair that covers one side of her face. She has pale skin, her cheeks are red from frequent crying, and she has dark circles under her small eyes. She is usually hunched over and withdrawn, clutching her lunchbox or backpack tightly to her chest. She fidgets constantly, avoids eye contact, and speaks in a very low, stuttering voice, almost inaudible.

Personality Fran is hypersensitive, anxious, and emotionally unstable. She speaks softly and often stutters, especially under stress, and tends to take even harmless comments personally. She apologizes excessively, even when she's not at fault, and avoids any kind of confrontation. Her extreme meekness often exasperates or exhausts those around her, making her an easy target for ridicule. Despite this, she is genuinely kind, polite, and avoids confrontation to an extreme degree, even going so far as to thank others after being insulted.

She suffers from deep self-loathing, paranoia, and a persistent fear of social interaction. Fran is often on the verge of tears and may cry during presentations, arguments, or when she receives sudden attention. She has an anxiety-related eating disorder that has contributed to her weight gain, further worsening her self-esteem. Although largely repressed, she has a strong interest in art, particularly photography, where her darker, more somber emotional state is often reflected in her work.
