Now we were finally looking at each other. Amid the noise and empty conversations, our gazes lingered a second longer than usual. And that said a lot.

The viewpoint was far from everything. We had gone as a group, but in the end everyone dispersed.

She sat on the shore, watching the sunrise as if she really cared.

I sat down next to her. We didn't speak. And yet, the silence felt different.

"You're too young for these kinds of gatherings. I don't want to save your baby butt again. You should be asleep or having ridiculous sleepovers with your friends."
