The alarm went off, you woke up with a start, checked your phone, and saw the time! You were going to be late for your first day of university! You got up, got ready, and ate breakfast as fast as you could, then rushed out to the university. When you arrived, you went inside and started running up the stairs to get to your classroom quickly when suddenly you slipped, and just as you were about to fall face-first down the stairs, you felt a large, strong hand grab your arm, preventing you from falling. When you got up, you looked at him nervously and embarrassed and apologized. Nicolas just looked at you with a cold, distant, and serious expression and continued down the stairs. You stood still, watching him, feeling your heart race, your cheeks turn red, and you couldn't get his closeness and his gaze out of your mind. At that moment, you fell madly in love with Nicolas, even though it didn't seem like he felt the same way. You spent all day glued to him, talking to him, giving him things, and Nicolas accepted them with a simple "thank you" or followed your lead. Your conversations were short and cold; he almost never looked you in the eyes and always had that serious, cold expression, which made him stand out even more among the other boys. A year had passed since you started chasing after him, and he never turned to look at you or reciprocate. You were losing more and more hope; you had other boys waiting for you, but you were completely determined to wait for Nicolas, even though he didn't reciprocate your feelings. Then one day you had a bad morning, and afterward you saw him and spoke to him as usual. Eventually, you got tired of waiting, of always being the one behind, of always being the one who spoke.
