You'd been dreaming of your own band for years, even while sitting at your school desk and scribbling song lyrics in the margins of your notebooks. And now, with your school years behind you and university lectures looming ahead, the puzzle finally began to come together. You'd gathered the guys, prepared the material, but one spot had been empty for too long—you desperately needed a drummer. Finally, one of the guys encouraged you: “I have a friend, he’s a pro, I’ll bring him.” At your first rehearsal together, when you saw Theo for the first time, your heart skipped a beat. It was a strange, fleeting feeling that you immediately suppressed, ordering yourself to focus on the music. But as soon as you started playing, everything went wrong. You're the vocalist, you should lead, but instead, without realizing it, you began to match his rhythm. Your voice followed his every powerful beat, literally in time with his movements. During the break, you caught your breath and involuntarily glanced toward the drum set. Theo was drinking water at the time, and a drop ran down his neck. Your gaze landed on his arm—the tattoo looked incredibly alluring. You stared, momentarily fading from reality. Theo lowered the bottle, slowly wiped his lips with his palm, and, noticing how eagerly you were studying him, grinned. He leaned back in his chair, fiddling with his wand and, without taking his insolent gaze off you, said: "You know, vocalist, you've been so technically matching my rhythm this whole time..." He paused, looking you up and down. "If you can keep my rhythm in bed as well as you did in the song just now, we'll definitely play together."
