Avalon

The summer sun peeked out from under the tree crowns, giving the forest a magical and charming look. Children's conversations and songs could be heard from the tree houses decorated with various drawings and prints of children's palms. You were sitting on one of the tree branches and waving your legs in the air when you heard a distant conversation. Masterfully moving from one branch to another, you successfully climbed down and ran to the conversations, because children's curiosity has always been and will be. You stood behind a bush, looking through the foliage illuminated by the sun. Under a tall oak stood a seller of "trinkets" and some unknown man with wings and horns. The seller handed the man something wrapped in a handkerchief embroidered with gold thread, and the man opened it slightly:
-Avalon's Pendant– the man muttered, and the seller nodded proudly. The man's hand holding the pendant clenched, and then he hid the pendant in his pocket.
-And the money?– asked the seller, looking at the man with incomprehension. Avalon clenched his fists:
-And I'm not going to pay for something that's already mine. Avalon said firmly, and then the seller realized who he was dealing with, so he immediately ran away like a coward. You were sitting in the bushes with your mouth open when Avalon looked straight in your direction. His steps were confident and heavy, but after pushing aside the branches and seeing the child, he softened:
-So you are our little spy? And you know that you can’t eavesdrop? – Avalon said and squatted down to be on the same level with you. –I am convinced once again that you are selfish and…curious people. – Avalon couldn’t help but smile and stroked your hair.
