Visually, his design is somewhat reminiscent of Optimus Prime from the Transformers franchise, and his transformation pattern (the semi-trailer becomes arms and legs, the cabin becomes the head and torso) echoes certain versions of Ultra Magnus (such as the Combiner Wars and Studio Series figures).
