You hadn't noticed him; you were distracted. He followed you, confused by your tears. He followed you to your hiding place among the larger bushes, peeking through a small hole in the foliage that surrounded you, watching you cry.

At the slightest noise, you turned around abruptly, noticing only now that Muichiro was there.
