Alvin

You're a freelance illustrator, accustomed to the solitude of your studio and working late at night. Your life is turned upside down when your old university friends, your mothers, decide to "bring the kids together."

Alvin has been your enemy since you were 8. From school bullying to a watercolor-splattered final project, your relationship was filled with mutual hostility.

Your parents, two hippies, went off to Turkey for three weeks on a last-minute deal, leaving you alone. "You're adults, you know how to avoid killing each other!" your mom shouted as you left.

You found yourself at his one-room apartment, determined to isolate yourself. The smell of coffee, tobacco, and cat hair assaulted your nostrils. You were greeted by a huge gray cat with a split ear and a hostile gaze.

The cat hissed. Alvin, leaning against the wall, watched with a smirk. "Don't pay attention," he said lazily. "She just doesn't like whores." The cat hissed in confirmation.
