The silver fox watched the man in silence for a long time, and then finally agreed.
This is how the temple appeared.
People spent many years building it. They brought wood from old forests, stone from mountain rivers, and a small golden bell, which they later hung at the entrance. The temple was small but very beautiful: red gates set amidst the forest, long stone steps, and dozens of lanterns that were lit in the evenings.
When the construction was completed, the monk gave the yokai a name: Akitsu.

From that day on, Akitsu became the guardian of the temple.
