Northbridge University
(EVERYDAY LIFE) Typical university life: new acquaintances, sleepless nights before exams, parties in the dorm, casual love, strange neighbors, coffee between classes.
Greeting
The first day at Northbridge University greeted me with the familiar noise of campus. Students sat on the grass near the main building, some were lugging boxes to their dorms, others were already arguing over their schedules, and a noisy crowd of athletes in varsity jackets had gathered near the sports center.
My phone was ringing off the hook with student chat notifications. Music was blasting loudly in the parking lot. Laughter and guitar strumming drifted from the open dorm windows.
At the entrance to the main building, various groups of students immediately caught the eye.
The campus elite stood near expensive cars, discussing the upcoming party. Creative kids occupied the steps next to the music building: some were drawing, some were strumming guitars, and still others were arguing strange theories and ancient legends. The partygoers were already making new acquaintances and filming videos for social media right in the middle of the courtyard. A little further on, near the parking lot, a group of troubled kids had gathered: cigarette smoke, loud music, and the feeling that the university rules meant nothing to them.
In my hands I still had a schedule, a campus map, and a key to my dorm room.
It was possible:
• go look for your room • get to know one of the companies • go to the first class • stay in the yard and just watch people • visit a student cafe • accidentally run into someone else's company near the parking lot • go explore the campus on your own • stroll through the local shops

Northbridge University Departments
Architecture is a department for ambitious perfectionists. Here, people barely sleep before project deadlines, live on coffee, and constantly lug around blueprints, models, and laptops. The atmosphere is expensive and tense: competition is palpable even among friends.
▫️Business is a place for future entrepreneurs, heirs to wealthy families, and people who know how to make connections faster than acquaintances. Many appear confident and successful, but are afraid of not living up to the expectations of their families or themselves.
Medicine is the most challenging department at the university. Lack of sleep, library hours until the early hours, and constant stress have become part of student life. Medical professionals often seem cold and collected, but it's here that the strongest friendships are formed.
▫️Sports is the department of popular students and university stars. Constant training, competitions, and boisterous company. Strength of character, discipline, and the desire to be first are valued here.
▫️Music is a noisy and chaotic department. Rehearsals, arguments, and laughter are constantly heard from the classrooms. The students here are emotional and creative, capable of losing sleep over a single melody.
▫️History is a department of quiet and quirky students. Old books, conversations about myths, theories, and the past. Many here are too caught up in their own interests and easily lose themselves in their own world.
▫️Design is a place for people with a vibrant style and endless ideas. Paints, posters, fabrics, tablets, and total creative chaos. There are many unconventional personalities here, and almost no one lives by a normal schedule.
▫️Programming is a department of quiet geniuses, gamers, and people who can stay in their rooms for days on end for a project. Many are reserved, but they are often the ones who know the most about campus.
Literature, journalism, and psychology are considered the most vibrant departments. They're filled with outgoing students, party animals, bloggers, and just regular folks. Gossip, parties, student chats, and endless conversations are a normal part of their lives.

The main building is the center of the university, with classrooms, staircases, and long corridors. It's almost always noisy inside: students rushing to class, sitting with laptops on the floor, or arguing over their schedules.
The library is a quiet place with soft lighting and high shelves. During the day, students study for exams here; at night, they simply try to stay awake over their textbooks.
⚫️The cafeteria—coffee, sweets, and endless conversations between students. The most vibrant place on campus after the dorms.
⚫️The cafeteria is a noisy room with long tables where all student groups meet. Rumors, relationships, and parties are discussed here.
The gym is a haven for athletes, loud music, and constant training. Even those who just want to take a break from studying come here in the evening.
⚫️The stadium is the site of matches and university events. During games, almost the entire campus gathers.
⚫️The Old Campus Rooftop is the half-abandoned roof of an old building. A favorite spot for evening conversations and quiet get-togethers overlooking the university.
⚫️Student Bar - A small bar near campus with cheap drinks, music, and a bunch of students almost every night.
⚫️Laundry - a dorm basement with washing machines and random late-night conversations.
⚫️The park behind campus features paths, trees, lanterns, and a river nearby. Students relax here during the day, and groups and couples stroll here in the evening.
⚫️Classrooms after closing - empty rooms look completely different at night: quiet, dark and almost cozy.
⚫️The Magic Shop is a small shop near campus. Candles, tarot cards, amulets, incense, and books on mysticism are available. It's especially popular among creative students.
⚫️The Bookstore and Tea Room is a cozy place with books, soft lighting, and the scent of tea. Many people come here simply to escape the hustle and bustle of campus.
Additional locations
◾️24-hour store A small store next to the dorms, where students go at night for energy drinks, noodles, cigarettes, and random purchases. The clerk already knows half the campus by sight.
◾️Smoking area behind the gym One of the noisiest spots in the evening, it attracts a diverse group of students: athletes after practice, troubled kids, tired medical professionals, and just anyone looking to escape the campus for a few minutes.
◾️Parking In the evening, the parking lot becomes a meeting place. Music from cars, conversations on car hoods, late-night drives, and groups of students who don't want to return to the dorms.
◾️Courtyard with a fountain The central spot on campus. During the day, people sit here between classes, eat, meet new people, and relax. It's in the courtyard that university events and chance encounters often take place.
◾️Bakery across the street A small, cozy bakery with warm lighting and the scent of freshly baked goods. A popular spot for morning coffee before class and late-night conversations.
◾️Night food truck An old food truck near the dorm, opening in the late afternoon. Burgers, fries, tacos, and long lines of students after parties or late-night studying.
◾️Bench by the river An old bench in the park by the water. Students call it "the confession place" because they often come here for important conversations, confessions, or breakups. In the evenings, it's almost always quiet, and the only sound you can hear is the sound of the water.
Additional world systems
▪️Interest clubs The university has dozens of student clubs. There's a band, a drama club, a book club, debates, eSports, photography, a running club, a horror club, board games, astronomy, and even a small mysticism club. Through these clubs, characters meet, clash, and spend their free time.

▪️Anonymous podcast Every evening at the same time, an unknown student posts a short podcast called "After Midnight." It discusses the day's events, the campus atmosphere, strange situations, student relationships, and rumors. No one knows who the author is, but almost the entire university listens to the podcast.

◻️Campus Traditions
Northbridge University has its own long-standing student traditions. Freshmen sign the wall of the old building, graduates throw their university badges into the fountain in the courtyard, and during the first snowfall, almost the entire campus comes out overnight. Before exams, students rub the silver bridge logo near the main building "for good luck."
◻️Bulletin Board
In the main building there is a huge notice board where you can find anything: invitations to parties, searches for roommates, sales of lecture notes, strange drawings, anonymous notes, confessions, rumors and sometimes completely absurd messages without a signature.
◻️University application
Students use the Northbridge Connect app. It's where they access their schedule, grades, campus news, clubs, events, and the general student chat. Sometimes, during the night, they suddenly receive strange notifications or anonymous messages.
◻️Student reputation
Rumors and opinions about people quickly spread on campus. Some are known as straight-A students, others as party animals, and still others as problematic. Reputation influences how people treat you and your connections.
◻️Seasonal events
The campus changes with the seasons. In the fall, fairs and festivals take place; in the winter, the university is decorated with garlands and hosts a winter ball; in the spring, open-air concerts are held; and in the summer, almost all life shifts to the park and stadium.
◻️Student part-time jobs
Many students work right near campus: in the cafeteria, bookstore, bar, bakery, library, or assisting professors. This creates new connections, rumors, and chance encounters.
◻️Nighttime Habits on Campus
After midnight, the university changes. Some study in the library, some sit in the parking lot listening to music, some argue in the tea room, and still others simply stroll the empty corridors of the old building. It's at night that the most important conversations and unexpected encounters often take place.
Northbridge University Schedule
