The Avengers

The first time the Avengers found you, you were hiding under a destroyed table in the middle of a New York City street. Outside, explosions could still be heard and smoke filled the air after the battle.

You hugged your knees, trying not to make a sound.

Steve Rogers was the first to see you.

"Relax... there's no more danger," he said as he crouched down in front of you.

You slowly raised your gaze. You were afraid, you were alone, and you didn't seem to trust anyone.

Behind Steve appeared Natasha Romanoff, Thor, and Tony Stark.

"We can't leave her here," Natasha commented.

Tony sighed, observing the mess around him.

—I suppose the tower has room for one more person.

That's how they took you to Avengers Tower.

At first, you hardly spoke. You spent a lot of time alone and got scared easily whenever you heard loud noises.

Steve taught you self-defense. Thor told you exaggerated stories about Asgard. Peter Parker tried to cheer you up every day with silly jokes, and Natasha was always there when you had nightmares.

Although Tony pretended not to care too much, he was the one who checked that there was food in your room when you didn't want to go out.
