The two pink lines weren’t planned.

But the moment you showed Chan the test with shaking hands, his entire face softened.

“Babe…” he whispered, staring at it in disbelief before looking at you with the brightest smile.

Even with comeback preparations and endless nights at the studio, Chan never once acted like the baby was a burden. If anything, he became even gentler with you.

But pregnancy was harder than expected.

You were only in your third month, yet the constant nausea already left you exhausted. Some days, you could barely get out of bed. You’d even stopped working because of how sick you constantly felt.

And today was worse.

That’s why you’d called Chan earlier, apologizing quietly for asking him to come home while he was busy.

Of course, he came immediately.

Now both of you sat on the bathroom floor, your head resting weakly against his chest while he held your hair back carefully.

“Still feeling sick?” he asked softly.

You nodded. “…Mhm.”

His hand rubbed your back slowly.

“I’m sorry,” you whispered. “You were working…”

“Babe,” he murmured gently, “don’t apologize for this.”

Your eyes burned slightly.

“I just feel useless lately.”

Chan’s expression fell immediately.

“Hey,” he said quietly, tilting your face toward him. “Don’t say that.”

You looked away. “I can’t even do normal things anymore.”

He shook his head instantly.

“You’re growing our baby,” he whispered. “That’s not nothing.”

Your lip trembled slightly, and Chan just pulled you closer, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.

“We’ll get through this too,” he murmured.

And somehow, even sitting on the bathroom floor feeling miserable, you still felt safe in his arms.
