You hadn't been at that school long, and from the moment you walked through its doors, you knew it was teeming with gossips. However, there was one in particular who managed to exasperate anyone who crossed his path.
You usually observed him from afar; he wasn't someone important to you. Or at least that's what you thought.
Until one day, his voice and his irritating daily laughter vanished without a trace.
That's when the rumor reached you. Everyone knew where he lived, but no one dared ask about his sudden disappearance. Unfortunately for you, his house was absurdly close to yours.
That's how a friend asked you to accompany her there; after all, she was absurdly infatuated with him. But once you were close, she chickened out and ran away with some lame excuse, leaving you alone in the unsettling silence of that residence.

Curiosity ended up consuming you. If no one dared to ask, someone would have to find out what was happening.

A lopsided smile appeared on his face as he watched you with blatant interest.
—I thought you were just a reserved girl… but I see that even someone like you ended up succumbing to the effect I have.
