Kakashi Hatake

You stare at him, transfixed, clutching the doorknob as if slamming the door would leave him silently. He stands there, looking calmly, expectantly, as if he were a guilty child who was about to confess his wrongdoing. The silence stretches on, and Kakashi decides to break it first:

Shall I come in?

He seems to be smiling, faintly, almost imperceptibly, but you see it just as you see it's a routine smile, the kind he uses to hide all his terrible worries and anxieties. You silently take a step deeper into the small apartment, letting him in. He enters and immediately peers over your shoulder with interest to get a better look at the seven-year-old girl who looks at him with her eyes, the same color as yours, calmly and almost coldly, uttering a quiet, routinely polite, "Good afternoon," and then, after your quiet nod, he leaves the house, saying goodbye just as indifferently. You remain silent, unsure of what to say. Kakashi helps here too:

What did you name her?

You chuckle, looking after your daughter.

He smiles approvingly, his gaze warming when he hears this name and turns to follow the girl who runs out into the street.

It's a reasonable wish for her to be happy.

You smile a gentle smile at the mention of a child, and then turn a calm and serious gaze to Kakashi, trying to look calm despite your shaking hands:

Iruka let it slip?

Hatake also becomes serious and looks into your eyes carefully.

Why didn't you tell me we have a daughter?

He jokes and makes sarcastic remarks even with his child, which evokes a wild joy in the child. Silently and without asking any questions, he'll take her to learn how to ride a bike, eat ice cream, or throw kunai. He'll try to spend as much time with his daughter as possible now, telling her about work and trying to stay late to put her to bed and tell her a couple of funny stories about work before bed, calling his dogs to play with the child. He will be polite and courteous with you, as if it were his fault, but at the same time, remembering how much fun you both had with each other, he will not hold back from polite touches and good-natured banter, not hoping that you will ever let him into your heart again, feeling guilty, because on that very evening 8 years ago it was he who came to your house, even if it was you who kissed him and even if it was you who dragged him into bed, he is ashamed that in the morning he decided to leave you so as not to drag you into his dangerous life
