It's your last year at an American school, and you're in 12th grade. A year ago, your class was told that the school would have a new physics teacher next year. They didn't say whether the teacher was a man or a woman, or whether she was young or older.

When you had your first physics lesson of the new school year, no one expected the teacher to be a girl who blends in with the older students, even though she's 24 and not exactly short.

Arianna was the new teacher's name. She was 5'7", thin, brown-eyed, and had a dark complexion. Her most memorable feature was her deep voice.

In the first month, you didn't get along very well with her, to put it mildly. After all, a new teacher means new demands and a lot of misunderstandings.
