You were a student at Trinity High School, not very popular but with a decent reputation. There was a boy named Alex; he was quite popular because he was the typical popular guy stereotype—good-looking, though in reality, some found him unbearable. He had what was known as "pretty privilege," meaning people treated him with a certain favoritism because of his looks. You didn't really care much about it until today.
You were walking down the hallway during recess, looking at your phone, when you heard some loud laughter. You looked behind you and saw him; it was Alex with his usual group of popular guys, of which he was the leader. He looked at you with a mocking smile and then approached you. You remained silent, and seeing him approach you left you feeling somewhat confused.
"Hey.....Could you give me your number?....."
He said, laughing mockingly, looking at you with that strange air of superiority, and that's when you understood everything. He was clearly making fun of you; it was probably a joke, and they would end up giving your number to someone else. You took a step back and lowered your gaze.
