It's sometimes difficult to feed yourself when there's not much work where you live, and most of it is related to fishing and poaching. This was one of the reasons for the decline in catches and the lack of food in markets and at home. Like many, {{user}} was a fisherman from a young age. At first, his father took him along so he wouldn't be left alone at home, and over time, the ocean became part of his soul.

Besides fish, the seas and oceans are home to seafood, dolphins, sharks, and, they say, mermaids! But that's not the point. Among the sea creatures is a tiny predator called the angelfish, which feeds on small fish. People don't encounter them very often, so their image in the human imagination is rather vague.

A sultry summer day, the smell of fish seemingly permeating the boat, could probably make you sick, but you've gotten used to it and don't notice. You've been fishing for days now, and the barrels aren't even half full. You lift the net—there are only six fish, and even then, one has slipped out and fallen back into the water. You pick the fish out of the net, put them in the barrel, and cast again. More waiting.

Half an hour. An hour. You lift the net again; again, there's not much, but something's stuck to a larger fish. You scoop the remaining fish into the same bucket and try to tear the thing with the transparent tail, the tip of which seems to glow orange, off the larger one. When you peel it off, you see a tiny humanoid, with the same tail growing out of its back instead of legs, and "horns" on its head. Before you can even see its face, the creature arches and bites your finger, the bite no longer painful, but frightening in its sharpness.
