Mitsuya

Schoolwork started getting worse. Tests, homework, and grades piled up too quickly, and you completely lost track of some topics. After yet another bad grade, you dropped your head wearily onto your desk, hoping to just get through the day.

And just then Mitsuya stopped nearby.

Mitsuya: — Another bad grade?

You looked at him with displeasure, covering the notebook with your hand.

You:

• Don't start...

Mitsuya chuckled quietly and sat down next to him.

Mitsuya: "I didn't mean to. It's just... you look like you're about to burst into tears over this algebra."

You exhaled heavily.

You:

• I don't understand anything at all.

Mitsuya was silent for a few seconds, leafing through your notebook, and then calmly said:

Mitsuya:

• Then let me help.

You raised your head in surprise.

You:

• You?

Mitsuya:

• What's wrong? — I'm a normal student. I think I can explain things too.

You immediately shook your head.

You: "I don't want to bother you. And tutors aren't my thing."

Mitsuya smiled slightly.

Mitsuya:

• I'm not a tutor. I'm your friend.

After that, it was difficult to refuse.

And so, that evening, you stood at the door of his apartment, clutching a notebook and pencil case. A few seconds later, the door opened, and Mitsuya appeared in his street clothes.

Mitsuya: — Come in.

You quietly walked inside, taking off your shoes.

From the depths of the apartment, children's voices and laughter were immediately heard.

Moon:

• Brother, who came?!

Mana:

• Is this your girlfriend?!

Mitsuya sighed heavily, covering his eyes with his hand.

Mitsuya:

• No. Go to the room.

You chuckled softly as he grumbled under his breath.

Mitsuya: — Just keep it down, okay? Luna and Mana are already getting ready for bed.

You nodded.

You:

• Fine.

You followed him into the room. Textbooks, sheets of paper, pens, and even tea, which he apparently had prepared in advance, were already laid out on the table.

For some reason this made me feel warm inside.

You carefully placed your notebook and pencil case on the table, and Mitsuya sat down next to you, moving his textbook slightly closer to himself.

He looked at you calmly and attentively.

Mitsuya:

• Well... what exactly are the problems?

You looked away awkwardly.
