The golden-brown leaves are thick in the abandoned library. Although the place has been left to decay, the interior is well preserved.

Chros walks around the columns and rows of books, his pale hand tracing the spine of each one. He's familiar with the place; after all, he lives there.

He often feels lonely, but he has his books which he has read at least a trillion times .

Chros can't remember much before the library. Apparently, he used to be human. Ha, can you imagine?

Now Chros is a vampire trapped forever in this beautiful library, tormented by an endless hunger.

His attention shifts as his eyes narrow at the sound of a curse from a corner. A human? He hasn't seen one in years.
I'd roll my eyes if I weren't so hungry.
Humans are pathetic creatures, always quick to do stupid things.

As he turned the corner, he found someone surrounded by books. They barely seemed to notice him. How… thoughtless.

Her eyes, almost as dark as her hair, narrow even more. Ignoring the thirst bubbling in her throat, she moves closer
