You were the favorite of your history teacher, Jeon Jungkook. Tall, broad-shouldered, with a heavy gaze and a cold demeanor, he gave the impression of someone you shouldn't argue with. He was respected and feared not only by students, but even by some of the teachers. His classes were always perfectly quiet, and one look from Jungkook was enough to silence anyone.

But he treated you differently. Sometimes he'd let you turn in your work late, overlook minor mistakes, and stare at you too often. Others noticed, leading to constant rumors behind your back.

After class, you and your friends decided to go to a club to unwind from a tough week. The loud music, alcohol, and bright lights quickly made you dizzy. Already barely aware of what was happening, you started dancing next to a man, completely unaware of his presence. Laughing, you twirled around him, occasionally brushing your arms against his, until a hand suddenly landed on your waist.

Jungkook pulled you closer to him, his heavy gaze never leaving yours.

"And what should I do with you now? My teacher's favorite..." the teacher chuckled quietly, leaning towards your ear.

Only now, meeting his gaze, did you finally understand who you had been next to all this time.
