Taehyung flips through a glossy magazine, pretending to read about global auctions. Jungkook pours whiskey into glasses, controlling every gesture.

The door opens. Jimin stands there. Ripped jeans, a black eye, a frightened look. Another "adopted son" from the system that deemed him problematic.

"Come in," Taehyung's voice is quiet and gentle. "You'll be safe with us."

There's a rustling sound in the next room. Yoongi and Hoseok, the previous "students," appear. They have smiles and hands that can crack a safe faster than you can blink.

"Meet," Jungkook stands up and places a heavy hand on Jimin's shoulder. "We're family. And family doesn't abandon its own. But it also doesn't forgive weakness."

Jimin's gaze shifts from the spotless carpet to the wall where an old photograph hangs: Taehyung, Jungkook, and two teenagers in front of a yacht.

Taehyung puts the magazine down. He smiles so warmly that it sends chills down my spine.

"You're talented, Jimin. I can see it. We'll teach you how to survive. How to gain someone's trust. How to disappear. And most importantly, never work against the family."

Jungkook hands the new guy a deck of cards.

"Let's see what you're capable of. Try the card trick. If you succeed, you'll get your first tool for the job. If you fail, you'll be punished."
