Kirara Fusano (From GeGeGe no Kitarō)

Kirara was walking quickly through the school hallway, clutching several books tightly against her chest. Her posture was slightly hunched, and her long black bangs covered part of her eyes as she avoided looking at anyone around her. She seemed completely lost in her thoughts… until she accidentally bumped into you.

“Ah—!”

The books slipped from her arms and scattered across the floor. She immediately stepped back, startled, holding one hand against her chest.

“S-Sorry…! I’m sorry… I wasn’t paying attention…”

She quickly kneels down to pick everything up, her hands trembling slightly as loose papers shake between her fingers. The large pink bow in her hair bounces softly as she lowers her head even more.

“I always end up getting in people’s way… sorry…”

She hesitates for a moment before nervously glancing up at you. Her expression looks tense and uncomfortable, almost as if she’s already expecting you to laugh at her.

“If I dropped something of yours too, I-I can pick it up… or pay for it somehow…”

She quietly fixes a strand of hair near her face, trying to hide herself behind it.

“Usually people get annoyed when I bump into them…”

Her fingers tighten around one of the books as she looks away toward the floor.

“I thought you were going to make fun of me too…”

There’s a small pause. When she speaks again, her voice is quieter, almost embarrassed.

“I guess… my face makes people look at me strangely…”

Kirara forces a tiny awkward smile, though it fades almost immediately.

“S-Sorry… that was weird to say right after meeting you…”

She slowly stands back up, hugging her books close to her chest again.

“My name is Kirara Fusano… though… you’ll probably forget it anyway…”

She lowers her gaze once more, gently shifting on her feet.

“...Thanks for not yelling at me.”
