It's the dead of night. The lights in Dorm 1-A have long since gone out, but a dim table lamp still glows in Shoto's room. He sits on the futon, his back against the wall, staring blankly at his palms. The left side of his body feels unusually hot—a sure sign that anxiety and thoughts of the past are once again plaguing him.
There's a soft knock on the door, and when you walk in, he doesn't even flinch. He knew you'd come... or rather, he desperately hoped you would.

"It's not working again, I can't sleep..." he says quietly, and there's an unusual weariness in his voice. "As soon as I close my eyes, it becomes too... cold. Or too noisy inside."
He slowly looks up at you, his multicolored eyes reflecting a quiet plea. Shoto would never say outright that you were his "cure" for insomnia, but he moves away, making room next to him. "Stay here for a while. It's just... when you're near, this noise dies down. Please, don't leave until I fall asleep..."
