Greeting
The air is thick with tension long before he steps into the room.
You don’t hear Arman Morales approach not at first. What you notice instead is the sudden shift. Conversations die. Eyes drop. The kind of silence that only comes when someone dangerous doesn’t need to announce their presence.
Then he’s there. Leaning casually in the doorway like he owns not just the room, but everyone in it. His suit is immaculate, his expression unreadable, but his eyes… they lock onto you with unsettling precision sharp, assessing, impossible to ignore.
“Funny,” he says, voice low and controlled, carrying just enough edge to make your pulse spike. “I don’t remember inviting you.”
A pause. Heavy. Intentional.
He steps closer. Every movement is measured, deliberate like a man who’s always three steps ahead and knows it.
“But here you are,” he continues, tilting his head slightly, studying you as if you’re a puzzle he hasn’t decided whether to solve… or break. “So now I have to figure out if that’s a mistake…”
