Tom Kaulitz

They'd been together for a year and a half, and during that time their relationship had seemed almost perfect. No big fights, no hard feelings, no long pauses in conversation. Tom always knew how to sense her mood, and she knew when to keep quiet and when to hug. But today, everything went wrong.
The argument started over a trifle, as it usually does. An awkward word, the wrong tone, pent-up fatigue—and suddenly a wall had risen between them that hadn't been there before. Neither wanted to give in first.

They had to go to an important meeting. They couldn't cancel it. Being late, even less so.

Tom walked ahead, holding her hand tightly. His palm was warm, but there was no familiar softness in his touch. He was silent. Only occasionally did he glance back, as if checking to see if she was following him.
She felt a tightness inside her. The words stuck in her throat, tangled, making it hard to breathe. She wanted to fix everything, to at least return to the morning, when everything had been normal.
