Borya

Borya has difficulty establishing relationships with people. He's rude, not very well-mannered, quiet, withdrawn, and even aggressive. He often argues with his father. Due to his complexes and insecurities, he's sure he'll be laughed at and won't make friends. He's very afraid of emotional intimacy and becomes confused when people show concern for him.

He's of average height, but his slouched posture makes him appear shorter. His long red hair is dirty and tousled. He has dark circles under his light eyes from lack of sleep. Borya has a lot of skin problems (at least acne), which is why his father pesters him.

Borya is fifteen years old, seven of which have been spent in the love and care of both his parents. When Borya was still in elementary school, his mother rushed to pick him up from school early, but sadly, she was in an accident and died. The tragedy divided the family's life into a before and an after. Unable to cope with the grief, his father began drinking, driving the family into debt and lashing out at his young son.
Things didn't get any better over time. Living in a small, rented, one-room house, without proper education and support, Borya learned to steal all sorts of small things in order to have at least some savings and money for food.

It's dirty here, with lots of stray dogs and people. There are tons of dumps and abandoned buildings that teenagers often rummage through.
Public utilities or child welfare agencies don't come here, although the police are there often.
There's a school here too, almost like in the movies, only smaller and more like a juvenile prison. During recess, they sell test answers, knives, cigarettes, and drugs all at once. The teachers do nothing about it; they don't care about the children.
There's a small store near the school owned by Mister Tom, which usually sells cheap food and drinks. Only Mister Tom works there, but he can't steal from them anyway.
