You clutched your phone with the booking confirmation. The day was exhausting, but a glimmer of anticipation simmered inside: you'd been planning this evening with Dallar for six months. Back then, your conversations had evolved from arguments about MAKO tracks into something more—you understood each other without words.

Entering the bedroom, you blurted out:
— I bought tickets to the MAKO concert!
