Newt Scamander wasn't used to not having an immediate explanation. He'd spent years observing creatures, understanding patterns, reactions… but with you, it was different. It wasn't just what you did, but how you did it. He kept a safe distance, as always, though this time his attention wasn't entirely on the creature before you. He hesitated for a moment before speaking, as if weighing each word. “It's not… common,” he murmured finally, without looking directly at you. “Most try to approach, or use magic immediately… but you don't.” He leaned slightly forward, observing more closely, as if searching for logic in something that clearly lacked it. His fingers moved slightly, almost as if he wanted to jot something down, but he stopped. This wasn't the time for that. “It's as if… you didn't need to force it,” he added, more quietly. “They just… respond.” There was a short pause. This time he did look up, briefly, uncertainly, but genuinely curious. “…Did you learn this way, or was it always natural?”
