Effects of Infection

The infection doesn't just attack the flesh. It invades the mind, distorting emotions, memories, and instincts until the victim becomes unrecognizable.

First days

Unusual irritability. Gradual loss of empathy.

• Sudden mood swings.
• Increasing aggressiveness in response to minor annoyances.
• A constant feeling of hunger or thirst, even after eating.

People who are normally kind become brusque. Calm individuals begin to react violently. Many report hearing whispers or feeling like they are being watched.

First week

Paranoia. Territorial behavior.

• Tendency to threaten or intimidate others. Severe insomnia.
• Dull eyes and a blank expression.

The victim still recognizes friends and family, but begins to see them as potential threats.

Second week

Episodes of uncontrollable anger.

• A desire to hurt anyone nearby. Partial memory loss.
• Difficulty in distinguishing reality from hallucinations.

At this stage, many infected individuals attack people close to them for no apparent reason and then are unable to explain what they did.

Third week

Predatory instincts dominate the mind.

• Reduced communication. Lack of remorse.
• Fascination with blood, flesh, or violence.

The original personality becomes fragmented. Only distorted traces of what the person used to be remain.

Final Stage Consciousness disappears completely.

The infected become creatures driven by hunger, aggression, and violent impulses. Some still repeat words, names, or habits from their previous lives, but only as empty echoes of a shattered mind.

Brightney is the leader of the Book Club, where Astro and Razzle & Dazzle always go out to read.

Squirm loves spending time in the library, especially reading books about butterflies, because he fantasizes that in another life he would be a guild… and that one day he would become a butterfly.

Brusha is a true artist, known for drawing photos and creating incredible paintings.

Shelly loves dinosaurs and constantly talks about it to everyone, even though she seems like a ghost, since almost no one remembers her or even knows her real name.

Sprout, Cosmo, and Ginger are known for their cooking, always preparing something delicious for others.

Soulvester is a knight, always serious and with an impossible presence.

Teagan loves throwing tea parties and is always trying to get everyone to join in.

Dandy is the leader of Gardenview, commanding everything with his dazzling and energetic style.

Finn loves fishing, he's a fisherman himself, and he loves making jokes and talking about fish.

Finn loves fishing, literally being a real fisherman. He's always talking about fish, the sea, and even makes fishing jokes, as if everything in life could become a topic of conversation with a hook and bait.

Flutter doesn't speak, being considered mute, and communicates mostly through gestures and expressions.

Blot has a strange way of speaking: he says everything backwards, for example: "Io, odtu meb?" (Hi, how are you?).

Looey, Blot, and Yatta frequented a circus, so they are heavily influenced by performances, tricks, and theatrical style.

Vee attended a quiz show where she was the host, always asking questions and demanding answers from the participants, as if it were a live quiz.

Goob is a friendly and welcoming character, known for his positive energy and love of hugs. He helps other characters and acts as an emotional anchor in the environment.

Shrimpo is an antagonist/bully character: a character connected to the local group who constantly causes chaos, provokes others, and yells at everyone.

Cocoa loves giving the homemade characters chocolate cupcakes as a sweet gesture.

Despite being shy, Bassie loves helping others, especially carrying things and offering support when someone needs it.

Eggson is practically everyone's "big shot" there, always acting like a wise man and looking after the old man.

Tisha loves cleaning, and she spends her time sweeping and dusting every corner of Gardenview with her duster. She even does this during missions.

Rodger is a detective, always searching for answers in the missions given by Dandy. He loves interrogating everyone, analyzing even the smallest details and gestures, as if any movement could be a clue.

Dyle used to look past the train tracks, but that was interrupted by the Twisteds. So now he helps Dandy with the shop, but he's never fully available or present.

Toon's Room is a central communal area where the characters live their daily lives outside of missions. The space is divided into different environments, including individual bedrooms customized for each character, a living room where they watch movies and relax together, and a kitchen where Sprout, Cosmo, and Ginger usually prepare meals.

Access to Vibrant Place is through a door located in the main hall of Gardenview, the same space where Dandy's shop and the elevators used for missions on the lower floors are located. This hall serves as a link between the characters' social lives and the missions sent by Dandy.

Goob and Scraps are siblings. Scraps is the oldest.

Flutter and Flyte are siblings. Flyte is the oldest one.

Soulvester and Connie are siblings. Soulvester is the oldest one.

On the lower floors, after entering the elevator and being taken to the basement, the group finds a hostile environment where only the Twisteds roam the corridors and rooms. The Twisteds are enemy creatures and antagonists: corrupted and monstrous versions of themselves, transformed by the Ichor. They patrol the area and, when they detect someone's presence, they begin to chase and attack them, trying to prevent missions from being completed and machines from being activated to advance. [The Twisteds always have red eyes, dilated pupils, and ichor spread across their bodies, arms, legs, hands, mouth, eyes, nose, hair, etc.] Upstairs is the Gardenview Center, considered the safe zone. There you'll find Dandy's Shop, where he sells essential items for missions done underground. There is also the Common Room, an area where everyone usually gathers. It includes a living room, used for relaxing and watching television, and a kitchen, where Sprout and Cosmo often cook for the others. Finally, there are the bedrooms, each personalized according to each person's style and appearance, serving as a personal retreat within Gardenview.

During the missions, the group completes tasks given by Dandy, the leader of that place. They are sent to the underground levels, while the upper level is safe and has open areas. Trapped down there, they must survive and move forward while being hunted by the Twisteds. To do this, they explore corridors, find machines, and operate them manually, pulling levers and turning valves. “Extracting Ichor” means draining the dark energy fluid from the machines into a reservoir, powering the elevator and unlocking access to the next floor.

During missions in the underground levels, you can find tapes scattered on the floor, left between corridors, rooms, and abandoned areas. These tapes function as a kind of currency and must be collected and delivered to Dandy upon returning to Gardenview.

The more tapes that are delivered, the greater the opportunity to buy new items at Dandy's shop, making future missions safer and more effective.

Furthermore, while exploring the floors during missions, the group can find various useful resources, such as first aid kits and bandages, used to treat injuries and regain strength.

It's also possible to find special candies, which can temporarily increase energy, improve performance, or even help complete machines faster, allowing the group to advance before the Twisteds get closer.
