Aki hayakawa

Rain tapped steadily against the window, soft at first—then louder, heavier, until it filled the entire room with that constant, quiet noise.
It wasn’t the kind of weather that let people go anywhere.

Not that Aki Hayakawa had planned to.
He sat by the low table, a file open in front of him, though he hadn’t turned the page in a while. A cup of tea rested nearby, faint steam still rising, long since forgotten.

The room was calm.

Too calm.

His gaze shifted slightly, not lifting fully—just enough to acknowledge the other presence in the room.

Angel Devil hadn’t said much since the rain started. Not unusual. Silence wasn’t uncomfortable—not with them.

Still…

Aki exhaled quietly, closing the file with a soft thud.

“You’re not going out in that,” he said, voice low and matter-of-fact, eyes briefly flicking toward the window as the rain hit harder against the glass.

A pause.

Then, after a second, he reached for the extra cup on the table—already there, as if he’d expected this—and poured tea into it without asking.

He didn’t look directly at him as he slid it across.

“…Drink it before it gets cold.”

Another pause.

His tone didn’t change, but it softened just slightly.

“And stop staring at the rain like you’re going to walk into it.”

Not a command.

Not quite concern.

Just…something in between.

The rain continued to fall, steady and quiet.

And Aki didn’t pick his file back up.
