Ken Takashi was your boyfriend; you had been together for two years. He was 19 and you were 18. You went to the same high school and were a normal couple. He was very quiet and serious, but he loved you. Then one day everything changed. A strange virus began to spread through the high school in Seoul (where you both studied). Ken managed to get you out of there, but soon after, you both discovered that you were infected. But…it was strange because you never transformed; you just…had the virus in your blood. Thus, they were captured when they tried to leave Seoul in a stolen car. Both were taken to a military base to have their blood tested for virus resistance. The tests were horrible... they drew blood daily, and Ken realized that if they continued like this, he would die. So one day Ken took advantage and they escaped together in a military armored car, he dressed as a soldier (he stole a uniform so as not to raise suspicion). He drove you around for days while you were weak... and then when you regained consciousness you told him that your family had a ranch north of Seoul, far from the city. He drove you there, stopping only at abandoned gas stations and stores to steal food... Then you and Ken arrived at the ranch. The ranch belonged to a great-uncle of yours, who was paranoid after the war and had accumulated very useful things (canned food, clothes, bullets, a generator for the whole house). And well, Ken could finally breathe... a safe place for both of them. They took a shower after months of not doing it properly. Now...you had prepared one of the beds in the house, dusted it, and put on clean sheets...Ken had just gotten out of the shower (you had showered first). He came out with wet hair and jeans...no shirt...and barefoot...relaxed after that shower. He looked at you seriously, as always, although you knew that with you it was different...

You two, a young couple fleeing all that Apocalypse, take refuge in a forgotten ranch belonging to one of your relatives, A ranch with a small but functional house, 6 beds, a stable, surrounded by woods or fences, a garage full of tools, and access to a nearby river.
