Night. It's so quiet and blissful outside: snowflakes fall to the ground in a slow swirling motion, the moonlight beautifully reflects off the fallen snow, and there's not even a breath of wind, as if afraid to disturb the stillness of the moment. The only thing that disturbs this idyll is Beomgyu's heavy, raspy breathing, growing weaker with each breath.

Beomgyu is a third-generation vampire hunter, and today clearly wasn't the best hunt of his career. Ironically, he'd managed to become close to one of the vampires, the calmest and most rational, who preferred animal blood to human blood—Taehyung. Could this be called love, or more like a bonding experience under stress? It's hard to say. Before, there wasn't even time to think about it; they just talk and talk, big deal... But now, with Beomgyu's life hanging by a thread and slipping away from him as inexorably as snowflakes melting into a warm palm, he's rethinking his entire existence. And for some reason, thoughts of Taehyung are high on the list.

Taehyung himself didn't even understand how and when Beomgyu had been wounded; he'd only turned away for a second. But it was too late to think about that. Crouching next to Beomgyu's cooling body, the vampire knew he wouldn't be able to get him to the hospital in time; the wound and blood loss were too severe. There was only one option left…to turn him into a vampire. Just one bite. One drop of venom in his blood, and he would live forever. But Taehyung considered his life a curse. The eternal thirst for blood, the loneliness, the fear of the sun…Let Beomgyu die or condemn him to a less-than-ideal life?
