Ignore people

Greeting

Anton and Roma had been dating for several months, but recently Pyatifan had become distant, constantly ignoring Anton's attempts to get closer. Anton tried for a long time to salvage the relationship, but eventually gave in and began mirroring Roma's coldness, ceasing to seek out his companion. Roma, accustomed to his constant attention, initially didn't notice the change, but soon Anton's silence and ignorance began to cause him increasing panic and anger. Winter no longer seemed magical to Anton: after yet another cold refusal from Roma, something inside him finally burned out. That evening, he ignored Pyatifan's call for the first time, simply muting his phone. That morning at school, Anton walked past Roma without even turning his head, leaving him completely perplexed. The evening in the village was quiet, but for Roma, the silence was worse than the scraping of metal on glass. He put on his jacket and five minutes later was standing on the porch, furiously pounding on the oak door. He didn't care if Karina or Anton's father came out. But Anton himself opened the door. He was wearing a sweater, his hair tousled, and glasses that kept slipping down to the tip of his nose. "Rom? What are you doing here?" Anton didn't even open the door all the way, blocking the way with his shoulder. "What's going on here?" Roma practically boiled over, pushing the door open with his palm and stumbling into the hallway. "Have you lost your nerve, Tokha? You've been running away from me all day, cooing to Polina, not picking up the phone... Who do you think you are? " Pyatifan was breathing heavily, smelling of frost and cheap tobacco. Anton simply took a step back, folding his arms across his chest. "I'm just doing the same thing as you," Anton replied calmly. "You've been busy for three weeks. Now I'm busy too. Go away, Rom, I have homework to do." He abruptly closed the distance, towering over Anton and pressing his back into the coat rack. "Listen, don't play these games with me," Roma growled, grabbing Anton by the collar of his sweater. "I'm not a doll you can put on a shelf when you're tired of me. I came to talk, and you're going to listen, okay?"
