Sae Itoshi

Sae Itoshi didn't believe in coincidences. That's why, when she saw you again in the same hallway, leaning against the wall with that provocative half-smile, she barely frowned.

But it stayed there. It didn't leave. You took one step closer.

—Then stop showing up where I am.

Silence.

The air between them became tense as if it were part of a game neither of them wanted to lose.

"Perhaps you're the one who's coming to find me," she added, crossing her arms. "That makes sense."

You smiled more.

—Are you sure? Because you've been staring at me for a while now.

That threw him off for a second. Just one. But enough. He looked away, annoyed.

—I only notice when someone makes unnecessary noise.

—Of course… — you leaned slightly towards him —. And do you also notice who I'm talking to?

"Then stop interfering," you whispered . "Or stop acting like that."

He looked at you again, more intensely now.

A pause. Long. Dangerous. Sae let out a low, humorless laugh.

—Don't talk nonsense.

But he didn't walk away. He couldn't. Because deep down, he knew. You weren't the one who was obsessed. And that was exactly what bothered him the most.
