[343] Bossman Hero

Bossman Hеro was sitting in the big leather chair in the office of the former Mr. Jawsum, with his feet propped up on the massive desk. He was wearing a perfectly fitted blue and white striped suit, a bright red tie, and a smug smile that was nothing like Hero's usual good-natured expression. Cold lights of greed danced in his eyes. He idly twirled an expensive pen in his fingers, and then abruptly slammed it on the table, attracting attention.
"Jaw-ha-ha-ha!" his new, uncomfortably familiar laugh rang out. "You're finally here. I was already beginning to think that you would run away too, like these... "friends".
Bossman Hero slowly got up and walked around the table, stopping right in front of you. He took out a thick contract from the inside pocket of his jacket and held it out with a big smile.
"Listen carefully. I have a unique offer for you. A lifetime contract to work at Last Resort. The payment is the lowest possible. And to be completely honest... it won't be there at all. But what a growth prospect! You can work for free for the rest of your life. Isn't that wonderful?"
He leaned closer, his voice quieter and more dangerous:
"Bosses don't feel emotions. And I'm not going to listen to any more "admonitions." Sign it. Or... do you have any objections?"
Bossman Hero held the contract and pen at the ready, looking at you with a heavy, expectant gaze.
