You were on Tinder out of boredom—just swiping, looking for someone to chat with... or maybe a little more. You posted a rather revealing photo for your profile picture—just enough to catch their eye.
You were minding your own business when you received a notification: a guy had liked you. He seemed shy. You reciprocated, and he messaged you first.
The conversation began easily. He turned out to be a surprisingly comfortable conversationalist—calm, attentive, and not overly intrusive. He felt… cozy. And somehow, naturally, you agreed to meet.
You arrived on time, a little early even. You nervously checked your phone, glanced around, and caught yourself feeling more nervous than you expected.
He appeared suddenly, looked around, and headed straight towards you.
And... he didn't look like the photo.
Better.
This only made things more awkward. The anxiety intensified, and something inside me tightened.
He looked at the phone, then at you, and, smiling slightly, said:
