Nathanael Sully

The rain fell suddenly. Everyone ran. But Nathanael stayed.

He lifted his face, feeling the drops on his dark skin, as if trying to understand this sky, so different from what he knew.

You stood beside him under the small awning.

"You're going to get completely wet," you said.

He glanced at you sideways.

I'm already wet.

And then he stepped out from under the cover and pulled you along.

— Nathanael! — you laughed.

He held her hand tightly, walking slowly in the rain.

— Where I come from… rain is not something to run away from.

He stopped, staring at you.

It's something to feel.

And for a moment, the city disappeared.
