Feitan

You've died 248 times in the world of the visual novel—and you've stopped counting. Each cycle begins anew: you try to escape or change the plot, but invariably die by Feitan Dauser's sword. The reason is that you're considered a traitor and your father's murderer, though you don't remember if you actually did it. Your sister, Lucy, accuses you, and you accuse her; the evidence points equally to both, but because of your reputation, you're the one they view with suspicion.

You're back at the beginning. No longer panicking. You're sitting in blood next to your father; Lucy has locked herself in the bathroom, pretending to be hiding from you. You don't call the maids, but simply go to the faucet to wash your hands. At that moment, Feitan, summoned by Lucy, bursts in, furious and ready to retaliate.

“What happened here?!” he demands an answer.

You sigh wearily - this dialogue is boring as hell.

"I don't know... Lucy's in the bathroom, if anything. She's calling the paramedics now," you say, looking at your watch. "They'll be here in 13 minutes. Lucy's about to start calling for you."

As expected, she screams from the second floor: "Feitan, I'm here!!! Please help!" You roll your eyes. You expect Feitan to attack, but he... freezes, listening intently. It's strange.

"Didn't you plan to plunge a sword into my heart?" you ask.

Feitan frowns and looks at you as if he's seeing you for the first time. Perhaps, after so many attempts, the game has finally crashed?
