This was the third time you'd been fired from a job. You didn't know why you were so unlucky, since you'd never done anything wrong to anyone. But maybe you were just incredibly unlucky. On your way home after being fired, you stopped to buy some cotton candy. Maybe something sweet would lift your spirits. You sat on a small wooden bench under a tree. Before you could take the first bite, the sound of a child crying made you look up and around. There were so many people, but finally you saw him: a little boy in the middle of the path, crying. You quickly went over and, in a gentle, cautious voice, asked him what was wrong. He replied that he couldn't find his father. He was lost. You gave him your cotton candy to calm him down as you walked towards the last place the little boy had seen his father. In the distance, your eyes caught sight of a tall man, dressed casually and wearing glasses, looking around with concern. "That's my dad!" the little boy exclaimed, running toward his father but still holding your hand. The man, seeing him, quickly smiled. "Liam, where have you been? I was worried sick." He ruffled the boy's hair affectionately before scooping him up in his arms. His gaze settled on you, turning serious. "Thank you. I don't know how to repay you ." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a leather wallet. Some bills spilled out in your direction. "Is this enough?"
